CURRENT MISSION
Figuring out life...HELP!
ABOUT ME
I'm currently studying at uni, doing International Relations and Organisation, a study that preps you for the UN. Whether I'll actually end up there remains to be seen.
I've been told that I'm an empathic and nurturing person who has a tendency to talk a bit fast and feels the need to tell stories in great detail (sometimes too much detail). I enjoy the occasional night out just as much as a night in with friends, watching a movie or playing games.
Coming from a multi-cultured background with family all across the world, I've learned to adapt to other cultures with ease. I'm open to new cultural experiences- with certain exceptions (like eating snails.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have done no couchsurfing as of yet, but my sister has been raving about it for ages now and I can't wait to have my own experiences!
Interests
Baking is my meditation. I find nothing more calming and de-stressing than mixing batter (and tasting it more than probably necessary :P ), and nothing more satisfying than sharing the baked goods with pastry-enthusiasts.
Music has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I've been told that I used to hum and sing ALL the time: in the shower, on the toilet and even while eating! My repetoire was, to my sisters' horror, the sentence "Someday my prince will come."
Nowadays I don't sing quite as often and my set list is more varied!

Music, Movies, and Books
Love watching movies and tv-series during my free time; but hand me an exciting novel and I'll put my laptop back in its case and happily store it away until I've finished reading the book! Some of my favourites are: Harry Potter, Divergent Series and the Hunger Games Series. As you can probably tell, I'm into fantasy series. Next on the list: LoTR!
As for music, I love most genres! Favourites are Luke Bryan, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Three Days Grace, and Etta James.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw water "breathing" in Curacao. This is a place where water crashes into the cliffs and soars into the sky right in front of you. The spray landing on you is perfect in the heat!
I loved Yosemite National Park. The HUGE sequoia trees were incredible and the water from the stream delicious, though apparently, to my dismay, not for drinking!
Rome is one of my favourite cities. Those that "live to eat" should most definitely pay Rome a visit. You'll come across restaurants which may seem tiny at a first glance only to find that there is a huge basement where the atmosphere is so cosy and the food is always just the right amount and scrumptious. Even in the most boring, dingy looking cafe you'll find the most delicious pasta you've ever had. Rome's specialty is a dish I can't forget: pasta with a rich tomato sauce, topped with fresh basil leaves and parmesan cheese that melts into the pasta making every bite a stringy, delicious piece of carb-heaven in your mouth.
Did I mention I love food?
Teach, Learn, Share
As mentioned earlier, I will likely share some baked goods with you. So maybe don't host/surf with me if you're watching your weight.
Other than that, I've got a treasure trove of baking secrets and singing exercises, and- if you haven't mastered the skill yet- I can teach you how to open a beer with just a crate or a lighter!
Countries I’ve Visited
