About Me
***Important Update***
I'm recently married, and am trying to introduce my wife to Couchsurfing. If you are an experienced Couchsurfer, please do send us a request - even if it is to meet for a meal or coffee. I would really like her to meet people who represent the spirit of Couchsurfing.
***Update Ends***
This is Ajit Nathaniel. I was born in Madras and raised in the hills of Himachal Pradesh. I now live in Gurgaon, having moved here after spending six years in Bangalore and five years in Hyderabad.
I enjoy reading, writing, painting, food and many other activities. I have a very politically incorrect sense of humour and have developed a reputation as an impromptu comedian and raconteur- something that friends and former colleagues of mine claim to enjoy a great deal.
Apart from my day-job as a Compliance Consultant, I'm working on a collection of short stories. I am also a certified Krav Maga self-defence instructor.
My prior professional experience includes selling language courses, selling perfume, ghost-writing, contract work as a member of a security detail (that's kinda-sorta like a bodyguard), tech support, and anti money laundering research for a US investment bank.
My wife Varsha is trained to teach Spanish and Japanese. She is a voracious reader just like me, and is currently furthering her education in Japanese.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While in Hyderabad, I have been an active host. I loved showing people around Hyderabad's vanishing monuments. The Couchsurfing scene in Gurgaon seems pretty dead - though I'd be happy to host.
