ABOUT ME

I like people. I like exploring all possibilities. I like hitch-hiking. I am an easy-going person and I like freedom a lot. Sometimes I have difficulties accepting authority. I always like to enjoy - I think that is important in this life since we are all going to die anyway!! I am open to many ideas, and I am not difficult to get along with. i like to make jokes, mostly about myself. I like things that are real and I am very much down to earth person. I don't easily believe something that people tell me, unless I have seen it for myself or you explain it in a very convincing way! If i get something in my mind that I want, i really want to make it happen. I dont know how you call this in English.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is to live a responsible life, praticipating in sustainable development, be solidary with people in other circumstances and in that way, contribute to a better world! (if I READ this again - sounds quite too ambitious and quite slimy). Maybe I should just try to survive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want that couchsurfing becomes more famous, and I talk about it whenever the occasion arises. I really am crazy about the whole idea, but since i am a member, I have never used it. I would like to change that and become more active in the community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Yes! have surfed couches in Mexico and other people surfed our couch!

Interessi

I am interested in how people look at life, how people spend their time, how is the daily life like in your country. O maybe you become afraid now that I am too much of a psychologist. I am a humanist. I think people are more important then animals. But i like animals as well!! I have been vegetarian for 9 years! Besides that, I very much like my boyfriend Prins and I like my job - I am working in an NGO to teach global education for teachers and kids, mostly about Latin-America. I have 1 more big interest, which is ecology. I give workshops for people, how they can save energy. I like always to know more about the relation between people and ecology.

Musica, film e libri

I mostly like to watch documentaries, and alternative movies (not like Hollywood). Music I like soooo many kinds! From Dutch music to West-African music in the 70's (Fela Anikulapo Kuti - Salif Keita - Ali Farka Touré) to Bossa Nova with Astrud Gilberto, Gilberto Gil, Chico Barque, Baden Powell) and also Lenny Kravitz, Kaiser Chiefs, Bob Dylan, and much more! You name it, i will probably like it! Except for the beating sstuff.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I have done crazy wild-water rafting on the Zambezi river near Victoria Falls in Zambia, the time I was living in Malawi . And also I made a big gorge-swing, happily I was hanging on a rope. But I find it very amazing to be in another culture and completely start to see how things are working and how people are thinking! There's not much need for extravagant activities for me!

Insegna, impara, condividi

I am not very sure I can teach you something at all! Maybe I can teach about saving energy in the house and be more ecologic in any or another way. But more important, I want to learn many many things from other people! I can help you destroy your computer in 10 minutes - I am quite good in destroying computers.
