ABOUT ME

Graduate of Portland State University. Moved to the Bay Area in 2012 after I returned from a 9 month adventure to India, Thailand, and Nepal with my partner Jonah. We are opera, folk, contemporary, etc. singers, with experience performing at festivals, art exhibits, and in fully staged opera productions. We are budding young healers, learning from the eastern medicine traditions, and the South & North American indigenous peoples. We are drawn to the unconventional, yet strive to remain grounded.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We stayed with a couple and their daughter in Ernakulum, South India. Very interesting experience. I stayed in a fabulous apartment with some really amazing people in Austin, Texas two years ago for South by Southwest music festival. My first experience and an amazing one! I also let a guy from France sleep in my apartment floor when I lived in Portland. We just hosted someone from Peru that Jonah's brother met in Europe. All great people and experiences.

I worked as a Promotions Director/DJ at a radio station and got burnt out on a lot of music. The music I still love is a combination of cultural references and nature sounds, and the heartfelt. I still love Loreena Mckinnett, celtic things, and much of the Scandinavian Indie pop scene.

I really love Documentaries like Dirt, Forks over Knives, I AM, and shows like Planet Earth. Anything Jane Austin inspired, or classics with Audrey Hepburn or other great actresses.

Books and knowledge of many kinds! Echart Tolle, Dalai Llama, Don Miguel Ruiz. Into historical fictions with a spiritual or fantastical nature.

I feel blessed to come from Alaska, which is still one of the most beautiful and magical places I have ever been. I miss the otter, whale, moose, and giant ravens, but know they are always in my heart.

I've been blessed to be able to live in other countries, and travel.
