ABOUT ME

I moved 9 years ago, half a world away, from my native country of Romania, to the US. I can therefore really understand a hunger for faraway travel, with both its exuberant energy and challenging unknowns. And, having myself wondered, on more than one occasion, with both curious joy and fearful uncertainty, whose house I would end up calling home the following night, I've decided now is the perfect time to open my Boise home to you, brave travelers!

PHILOSOPHY

I've realized recently that I own too many things; I stay too busy; I focus on the un-important; I don't tread lightly; I don't explore enough; and I am too wasteful with both time and other resources. Hence, the new focus will be on slowing down, simplifying, being more mindful, and re-connecting with people and things that really matter.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking forward to welcoming folks into my home and introducing them to our wonderful Boise community. I will not only be putting to great use a room that would otherwise stay empty; but I will also attempt to forge meaningful connections within what a friend calls "a network of friends you've never met" :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was recently an unofficial Couch Surfing host for almost a week and my guest literally enriched my life. I hope I can give at least a fraction of that kind of experience back to my future guests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running the San Diego RNR marathon in my Dad's memory, with Team in Training, a fantastic group raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
