Renovate the apartment by ourselves

ABOUT ME

We are Vladimir and Ancuta, husband and wife. We love trekking and travel the world, so we got into CouchSurfing... Everything we do, we do together: walk, cook, we renovate the apartment, even handmade items. We have many friends and we like to spend time with them.

Ancuta is a graphic designer and she likes to reuse recycled materials, to make handmade crafts and Vladimir is her most fastidious critic. She likes animals, to take care of her planted flowers and to read.

Vladimir was a scout for 5 years. Then, at college, over 10 years ago, he founded together with some friends a mountaineering group, Ursul Trubadur (The Troubadour Bear). Now, both are active members of the group, which includes dozens of mountain lovers. He likes to organize trips and playing guitar.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, for now we can not accommodate anyone because the apartment is under renovation until September 2013. Maybe we can help with information about sightseeing in Romania.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

With many friends around the country and Europe, in our frequent trips, we were hosted in Romania, France, Spain. Also, friends from Romania and France visited us several times. Every time we had wonderful experiences. This encouraged us to join CS.

Interests

Ancuta: I love to trekking, biking, create handmade crafts, cooking, reading. I want to improve swimming technique and my English level. I want to learn web programming.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ancuta has a patent on teaching materials.

During a climbing trip, Vladimir helped a friend whom crampons was broked, making steps in steep ice for 4 hours.

Durring a trekking trip, because of winter white-out phenomenon, we were lost and slept in the forest, in the snow.

We discovered Iceland.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can "teach": graphic design principles, handmade techniques (polymer clay, decoupage), trekking principles, travel planning.

We want to "learn": Web design, programming Websites, handmade techniques, self-sustainability.
