About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On a quest for the greatest Hot Cocoa, Dumplings, and Waterfalls.

ABOUT ME

I'm very into the written word (contemporary fiction, mainly, but it's all good,) running, and music. I play a bit of guitar, piano, and saxophone and go to live shows frequently near and far. I enjoy getting out and exploring the outdoors ("What's on top of that?!" is a favorite game... close behind "The Floor is Lava") and doing more mundane things like watching movies or listening to the rain. I like a good craft beer in a quiet bar where you can sit on a couch and play a game or hear everyone without straining.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very much into enjoying what I do, on occasions when I can't do what I enjoy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host whenever I'm settled. I've had an amazing time hosting people in San Diego and Newport (For some reason nobody wanted to come to Bahrain...) My friends back in VT used to invite couchsurfers (local and from elsewhere) to big stranger parties, and it was always a great time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Frequent host here in Newport during the summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the Long Trail in Vermont from end to end over the course of 20 days. It was at times lonely and introspective, and at other times surprisingly social, where newly met trail friends would weave in and out of my life as our paces overlapped. I saw two summer hail storms, one while huddled in a shelter on top of a mountain with a couple of new friends, witnessed a German man experience s'mores for the very first time, and raced over peaks for three days to make it to a barbecue we learned of through vague rumors.
