About Me
Philosophy:
Follow your bliss.
------------------------------------------------------
I enjoy everything from taking naps in the sunshine to getting charged by bears in the Alaskan wilderness. Most recently I worked in Alaska at a salmon cannery in Bristol Bay.
I have only stayed with one couple so far, so I'm really looking forward to meeting some more great people! As a guest, I can promise that I am tidy, very laid-back, easily entertained and like to share beers and meals and good conversation. I would really love to hang out with you if I'm surfing your couch, but I don't require a tour guide or anything like that if you don't have the time or care to do it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing: I want to meet awesome people as I travel around!
Hosting: To hopefully have people stay with me once I am back home this Winter
Interests
Guitar and singing, reading, dancing, hula hooping, camping, hiking, kayaking, basically anything that will keep me busy outside. Talking, drinking whiskey, walking around without a destination, bike rides, writing letters, and learning new instruments.

Music, Movies, and Books
Just to name a few: Willie Nelson, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Sarah Jarosz, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Alexi Murdoch, Alice in Chains, Blue Scholars, Atmosphere
The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, The Lion King
All things from the Beatniks
"The only ones for me are the mad ones. Mad to live, mad to die, mad to be saved. Desirous of everything at the same time." Kerouac, On the Road
Outdoor writers
"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."
Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I tell my stories much better in person.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: guitar and hula hooping (sadly, not at the same time, though I'm working on it!) I'd love to be a help to anyone learning English, too.
Learn: everything and anything at all. Another language would be great :) or new recipes in the kitchen
Share: stories, experiences, beers, and books.
