Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to experience places through the people who live there. For me, travelling is about connection and understanding everyday life from a local perspective.

I’m currently travelling solo through Kurdistan and Iraq and would love to meet people along the way.

Since I can remember I’ve been fascinated by cultures and people. In 2023, I travelled to Oman and Jordan, and since then I’ve felt drawn back to the Arab world to learn more about the region and its beautiful people.

For the past three months, I’ve been taking evening classes in Levantine Arabic and would love to practise and improve it in real-life conversations.

I’m very social, easy-going and genuinely curious about other people’s stories and ways of living. I’m always happy to share travel stories, cook a meal together, or just have a good conversation over tea or coffee.
