About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travelling, learning, seeing.
ABOUT ME
I'm a young man from Aarhus, Denmark. I'm 21 and graduated from Aarhus Statsgymnasium, highschool, in the summer of 2011. Since then i have been working in the kitchen of a restaurant / café, in day cares and with other random short-term jobs.
In between these jobs i am a full time creative mind. I am a member of the artist collective/duo POWERCLAP and another Aarhus based collective called BLANK in which i make videoart, musicvideos, graphical work, installations etc.
I live for this kind of artistic, creative work and if it was economically possible i wouldn't do anything else. For some time now i have dragged myself through meaningless jobs to be able to travel and focus entirely on my creative life for a while - which is partly my reason for joining couchsurfing at this point!
I got into this artistic lifestyle through photography which still has a very special place in my heart. I love photography because of the way it makes me see the world - it has opened my mind and shown me how beautiful everything really is if you just take the time to experience it - it has reeduated me in the fundamental art of seeing - and for me it is more of a state of mind than a purely technical and creative practice.
Creativity is a keyword in getting to know me. Besides the artistic creativity i love cooking, and i love coffee, good coffee - there is nothing better - a good cop a coffee in a calm, authentic café, a notebook and a camera on the table and a good, long conversation with a friendly, open minded person. That's what I seek to optain. Always. Or at least the state of mind it puts me in. The same state of mind drawing, a really good book, movie, piece of art or a startling landscape can put me in. I love to read and I love to write. Putting my experiences onto paper has always fascinated and calmed me in tense situations and it has become an almost meditative thing for me to draw or write about the world around me and my place in it.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to share, help, learn, experience, see, feel, love, challenge myself!
I am never in a hurry (or at least i aim towards never being). I always find time for the things a find important, which i would guess are the things mentioned above.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just signed up for Couchsurfing so i have no experiences to share but i can tell a little about what i hope to experience through this site!
I hope to have my horizon widened! Widened through conversation, shared experiences and by meeting people who live their lives in a different way than myself. I would like to personally experience new ways of seeing the world that surrounds us by actively putting myself in situations i have never been in before and have conversations i have never had before with people I wouldn't normally meet in my everyday life here in Denmark. I will start by sleeping on couches I have never slept on before!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to and playing music, watching movies and reading books but I really see no reason for listing up artists. As long as the work moves you it is irrelevant who has made it! That also goes for writers, photographers, directors etc. My best and most moving experiences when seeing a movie, reading a book, or listening to music is when you are surprised! There is nothing better than that. And that is also a general thing about me. I love letting the moment and the coincidence dictate - when nothing is planned and there are no expectations just the moment and the spontanity of it!
Even though i like surprises there are artists, writers, directors etc. who almost never fail to move me like: Leonard Cohen, Bon Iver, David Lynch, Lars Von Trier, Jørgen Leth, Haruki Murakami, Morten Nielsen (writer).
