My husband and I plan to travel to German and Austria this fall to experience the culture and food of the area, to visit family and to research our family history.

We've had the pleasure of hosting/meeting many persons from different countries over the years and have enjoyed learning from other's experiences/travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to CS, but have had very positive experiences both hosting and couching.

Interests

Meeting new people and learning about/from them, traveling to new places and experiencing/learning about the land, history, food and culture of different areas. A lot of my time is spent in volunteer work, gardening, cooking, biking, hiking and traveling with my husband, Fred, and/or friends or sometimes alone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a variety of music from steel drums to classical depending on the day, movies that inspire and/or entertain, and a variety of books especially historical novels, and healthy cookbooks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many experiences...sunrise over the Grand Canyon, hiking to Hidden Lake in Glacier National Park, watching the Aurora Borealis, experiencing the "Super bloom" in Death Valley National Park...

Very experienced in cooking tasty, healthy meals, including gluten-free and vegetarian - always willing to share this! Eden Energy Medicine Certified Practitioner and experienced in EFT.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A listening ear to their adventures and life stories, good healthy food, a restful respite in a lovely rural area outside Albany, NY, and advice/directions to some great hiking in the nearby mountains.
