About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see all inhabited continents - I know it's not particularly imaginative, but there it is :-)
ABOUT ME
Both a difficult and easy question to answer - To start with the practicalities; I was born in 1984 in little Denmark and have since gone through various schools untill I my current "status": A Bachelor in Environmental Chemistry, and a Masters in Biology.
Between 1995 and 1997 my family and I spend 2 years in Tanzania in Eastern Africa. This started my interest in the wide world and since I have spend time in New Zealand, All of Western Europe, Japan, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Turkey. Hopefully the list will soon get longer.
Currently living in Aarhus - the largest city in Jutland, and beyond my work to ensure the best possible wastewater treatment in Denmark, I spend a lot of time with my lovely niece.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only surfed and hosted a few times (twice the surfer, twice the host). But just like how it was in Turkey where couchsurfing is not so much a matter of logging on to the website as chatting up the first person you meet on the street - I've found out that this is not only a cheap way to travel, but more importantly the most interesting way of meeting new people. So far, travelling in Turkey has granted me new (self-developed) sayings and a new set of parents. In addition while surfing in New Zealand and hosting in Denmark I have had the chance to meet a Finnish-born Native American girl, a football (soccer to the Americans) crazy guy and one of the most delicious vegan meals I have yet to encounter.
Interests
My key interest is environmental protection which is also why I work with wastewater. Our water environment is key to our environment in general so to minimize pollution our aqeous is of outmost importance. And it's fun!

"The Deer Hunter"
"No Shitting in The Toilet" by Peter Moore
"The Zahir" by Paulo Coelho
"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably to live in Tanzania for 2 years. It wasn't actually my own choice but I grew and developed myself so much during those two years that it truly changed my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
For every traveller, surfer or whatever you would like to call yourself I can thouroughly recommend "No Shitting in The Toilet" by Australian Peter Moore. It is probably one of the funniest books I have ever read and for anyone with just a little bit of travel experience you will sit and nod your head of all of his stories that you can relate too.
