About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live in at least 5 countries on different levels of the development curve and with totally divergent cultures. 3 down - at least 2 more to go. That or drink over 200 different brands of beer

ABOUT ME

Happy go lucky fool with a propensity to make mistakes, lose stuff and still have a blast travelling.

PHILOSOPHY

Take it easy. There will be up, there will be down. Plan and try your best

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel extensively and look to interact and make new CS friends in each location. I assist my friends in CPT to host couch surfers from fetching people at bus stations, showing them around on weekends and just being a number to call for advice. Unfortunately I share my pad with a housemate so despite that fact that we have apple couch space - hosting is not always so easy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted 2 wonderful German ladies impromptu that were stranded after we partied to hard. Resulted in great friends. I am now travelling to Australia and New Zealand (currently on this trip) and looking forward to my maiden CS voyage. Hoping to make many friends

Interests

Rugby, rugby, rugby, rugby and when bored from that - rugby.

Out door adventures. I have ticked off many crazy feats so far and am keen to repeat in different locations:

1) Did Great White Shark Cage Diving in Cape Town (South Africa) - awesome, scary - must ahve been the first black man the sharks saw on the menu in a while. Never again - those things are huge!

2) Skydiving in Johannesburg (South Africa). Awesome. May repeat in future but only if I can do a solo jump eventually.

3) Bungee jumped off Bloukrand Bridge in Eastern Cape (South Africa) - WORLD'S LONGEST JUMP. NEVER AGAIN! Amazing - but never again! May jump from different location though. Think will try bungee in Australia.

4) Swam with dolphins in Zanzibar (Tanzania) - serene! Most do again. Maybe on honeymoon - if I ever throw in the towel.

5) Skiing in Greece. Why did people think this was a sport and pass time. Great fun but I have no coordination. Never again. Maybe I'll snowboard though. Was annoying to watch 6 year olds speed past me as i stumbled, fell, slid, stumbled, fell, slid for 700m!

6) White water kayaking in Craddock (South Africa). Great fun. Want to do again - possibly in the open sea.
