About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To better understand the world and the people in it

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Anderson. I love people, reading, exploring, and adventure in general! Right now I am on an adventure with my buddie to travel all around the United States and hopefully around the world. His name is Chad and you can see his profile at https://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=5H0X2JJAK&from_search&search_ranking_names=1

PHILOSOPHY

I want to see the world. I want to love, hate, inspire, to be motivated then depressed, to feel the human condition. I want to help, to hurt, I want to learn. I want to understand as much of the world as I can in my lifetime, to experience and develop as wide of a perspective as I can.

Interests

I am adventurous and enjoy exploration of new places. I love to learn, and see knowledge as everything around me. I learn from life and spend a lot of time thinking.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite director is Wes Anderson so I really enjoy his films, I am also a fan of zombie flicks (my favorite film being the original Dawn of the Dead). As far as music goes I listen to all sorts of genres including folk, alternative rock, and anything with a good beat. I really enjoy anything live. In terms of books I can enjoy a good story as much as the next person but I more often then not find myself in the middle of non-fiction including old text books, philosophical musings or anything about physics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking to the top of a non-active volcano was one of the most Amazing things I've seen. It was in Hawaii and I could see everything from the top. It was not only beautiful but everything about it reached me in some way. The air, the smells, the feel of it all really left me in awe.
Something like that certainly sounds less impressive but has left an even greater impression on me is simply exploring the places no one usually goes. From small towns, to deserted buildings, and little nooks of the earth that seem like they haven't really been explored.

Teach, Learn, Share

By stuffing a small amount of cotton in the end of a drinking straw and sealing both end you've made a water-proof storage for emergency kindling!

Contrary to popular belief, a pot of dark roasted coffee has considerably less caffeine than a light or medium roasted pot (the coffee bean continually loses more and more caffeine through the roasting process).
