About Me

I grew up in a suburb of Houston, TX with a loving family and great friends. I went to Catholic school from kindergarten through 8th grade, went to high school in a science & technology magnet program, and now I'm a freshman at the University of Notre Dame. My Catholic faith is a huge part of my life, but I also love learning about other religions and cultures. Both my parents are from the Philippines, but I was born and raised in the states.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exploring new places and meeting new people! I love the idea of building trust within a community that shares these interests. Since I'm in college still figuring things out, I don't have the flexibility to serve as a host, but I'd love to host sometime in the future.

Interests

I love Jesus and good music with good friends and good food. I'm currently studying as a chemical or environmental engineer with a minor in poverty studies. I've always wanted to use my career as a means to serve communities in need. In my free time, I enjoy photography, reading, writing, swing dancing, and rock climbing. I love being outside - mountains are my favorite setting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw Pope Francis on the last day of his visit to the United States. It was the greatest experience and such a beautiful witness to the Catholic faith. He is such a wonderful human, and I'm grateful to have been able to participate in a Mass celebrated by him.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bake some killer chocolate chip cookies. I'm also a beginner guitar player, and I'd love to learn more. I love talking about anything and everything from favorite colors to today's most pressing issues. I believe in being able to have open conversations about politics and religion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always open to having a good time whether that means going out or staying in! Most people find me pretty easygoing - there's no pressure to impress me.
