Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and surfing. I try to show guests "our local life" and give them advice for their trips.
As a traveler I'm trying to share my experiences that I have collected and to pick up new ones from different cultural backgrounds.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've hosted here in Frankfurt and also surfed different couches around the world:

Overall I had many great experiences, met very interesting and helpful people.
Besides that I had to find out that there a hosts who expect a monetary gift which I found quiet strange. Also the term "open minded" sometimes seems to be used as a synonym for things I didn't associate with Couchsurfing. Eatch to their own.
