About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be the best engineer in the world...and maybe have some fun too.

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Zurich, Switzerland, but am from the village of Lake Zurich, Illinois, in the United States. In between I have lived in Copenhagen (Denmark), San Francisco (California), and Champaign (also in Illinois). The last five years of my life have been focused on electrical engineering, which I am continuing at ETH Zurich for the next year.

PHILOSOPHY

Above all I believe in myself. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I cannot host due to strict requirements of my university housing. However, I will be moving to my own place next year!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had one! My friend arranged a couchsurf for us in the Netherlands, which was an amazing experience. Our host was welcoming, flexible, and very helpful. He took a great weekend and made it even better.

Interests

I love tea, recording/producing music, engineering, running, swimming, biking, guitar, cooking, eating, sleeping, and travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like rock, folk, electronic, and some pretty strange stuff.

Movies: I don't have much preference. My favorites come from Studio Ghibli.

Books: Engineering books :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went solo skydiving once. Lots of preparation, fear, exhilaration, and disbelief. I still can't believe I jumped out of that plane.
