About Me

CURRENT MISSION

There are people whose relations to their lives, work, community are fascinating me, and I feel respect. I want to live my life in a way, if i realized myself in an external position, I could feel the same.

ABOUT ME

I am an open-minded, calm, and contemplative guy. I like to deeply consider on topics. In order to understand something (a society, a city, a woman/man) I sometimes need to understand its history. Thus I usually think the processes toward. But sometimes I just switch off my mind and get an impression from the outside world.

PHILOSOPHY

O snail
Climb Mount Fuji,
But slowly, slowly!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

for a while just surfing. when I get home, I am planning to host

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not so much. in my dormitary I met lots of couchsurfers, but at that time I was not the member of the community. I have been a surfer only once so far.

Interests

Streets and houses. The environment where people live their lives. I am also interested in social sciences (e.g. political economy, the relation between economy and society) and the history of Socialism in Eastern-Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues music, metal, punk, and HC, Vysotsky, folk music.

I like very much Steinbeck's books. I.B.Singer, Dostoyevsky and Salinger had a great impression on me - however, nowadays I don't want to read these books again. I like Hungarian authors (e.g. Krasznahorkai) and science fictions (Lem, Philip K. Dick)

Somehow I don't really watch too many films. But I like the mood of small cinemas with creaking chairs :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking is amazing, for sure. It is a kind of snapshot to lots of people's life. And of course the arriving to the final destination is always awestruck!

Once I parachuted. That had been my old desire, so when I finally did, it was a really good experience. It was as good, as I imagined.

A good beer after a hard day is always striking ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

Hungary, Socialism, social sciences, economic statistics :) running, hitchhiking, beer, metal music and so on

I have a snapshot to the Eastern-Europe and of course mostly to Hungary, and to the socialist system. This topic is really interested me so I think I can also "teach" it. I can also speak about macroeconomic relations, hitchhiking experiences.

I am really interested in and want to learn about other cultures, societies, how people organize themselves to achieve their aims.
