About Me

Always hard to do these 'About Me's. I am a very social, outgoing person who loves to go out of his comfort zone. Of course, from time to time we all need some coziness and comfort, but what really develops is happens outside.

I am not your classic nerd programmer. I am a proud nerd! Also I almost went to the direction of diplomacy. Oh and there was a point where I almost started my bachelors to become an economist. Well, who knows. Now I am a finished biomechatronic engineer who has worked 1.5 years as a programmer in a bank.

What I love is getting to know people. People always amazed me and connections helps us understand our world and surroundings. This is everything - and for that I would love to meet new ones!

Greetings and kudos,
Andras

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well... you always need a place to stay at, right? Also hotels are boring. Comfortable, I admit, but boring - there are no interesting people there to meet!

Interests

When I was around 6 or 7 I heard about 'polyhistors'. At that moment I wanted to become one! Now of course I realize that is impossible but I still believe that keeping an interest in everything, even (rather especially!) outside your main ones helps you become more open minded and accepting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies that make me think. You know, where you have to work together with the movie itself to enjoy it. Like the recent 3 Billboards. Or Prisoners. Or Room, or even Inception.

For books I tend to go for the thought-provoking ones. Mostly the depressive, rather dark endings work for me, I love a good dystopia.

Music has a very special place in my life for different reasons. I listen to music to work, to work out, sometimes to travel. To achieve emotions or to modify those. Sometimes you listen to music just for the purpose of listening to music. And all these require different genres ranging from classics through jazz to electro.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am proud of having set up a student association in Budapest that is AMAZING. Check us out: www.idsa.hu Oh we also have our own Model UN Conference, www.munapest.com

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some cooking of our own cuisine - and I would also love to learn too! I guess that's called Sharing, right?

I am good at programming, I have a solid understanding on the internet and the IT world. Also the engineering world, however I could use some tutoring in more spiritual fields - and also literature and arts!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun, Hungarian/Eastern European sarcasm and good talks! Also a lot of experience with fellow students from all over the world due to my Model UN related past.

Countries I’ve Visited
