Hello!

My name is Andraž, and I'm from Slovenia. I haven’t traveled much in the past not because I didn’t want to, but simply because I never really felt the need. Lately, though, I’ve had this growing feeling that time is passing quickly, and I want to explore other countries and cultures while I can.

I'm a pretty simple guy. When I’m in Slovenia, I love spending time in nature, especially in the mountains. I also really enjoy dancing especially to 80s disco music, but honestly, I’m happy dancing to just about anything. One of my biggest passions is fire spinning. Over the past year, I’ve spent countless hours practicing and truly enjoying the process. This passion has actually played a big role in inspiring this trip. In the summer I like to visit different festivals where I found so many cool people that I have connected with and stayed friends after the festivals as well which I find really awesome.

I’ve also been on a personal journey of self-growth, which has helped me become more genuine and confident. I try to stay open, honest, and present with people and I’ve noticed that this helps me connect well with others.

My plan is to travel through Italy, starting in Trieste (where my friend lives), and continuing south wherever I can find a kind host. I'm open to visiting both cities and small towns. Lately, I’ve been really excited to meet new people from different backgrounds and hear their stories. That’s actually my main goal: to connect with people, see how they live, and learn from their experiences. I feel this will really support me on my own journey.

Also, I should mention I’ve had a big mental block around traveling for a long time, so this trip is also about stepping out of my comfort zone and breaking that ice.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy music from the 60s and 70s bands like The Beatles, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Velvet Underground, and The Clash are some of my favorites. I also love listening to old Yugoslav music, which has a special nostalgic vibe for me. Recently, I’ve been getting more into reggae and dub music, which really helps me relax and get into a good rhythm. To be honest, my music taste changes a lot depending on my mood, so I’m always discovering new sounds.

Movies & Series
When it comes to movies and series, some that really stuck with me are The Mentalist, The 100, Game of Thrones, and the classic comedy Seinfeld. I enjoy a good mix whether it's something thought provoking, action packed, or just something light and funny to unwind.

Skills I Can Share
I’d be happy to teach handstands, or if anyone is interested in flow arts, I can share what I know! I’m pretty good with contact staff and dragon staff, and I can also do a bit of rope dart.
If you're curious, I’ll gladly share my Instagram where you can check out some videos though honestly, it’s never quite the same as seeing or experiencing it live. It’s a lot more fun in person!
