To you who is reading this right now, hello! I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I’ve been living and teaching English in the city of Taipei for almost two years now! In that time I’ve been able to see other Asian countries, and can I say I’m OBSESSED with how amazing Asia is. I just have to see it all!

I graduated from a small private university in California with a major in Cross-Cultural Studies/Community Development, and two minors is Psychology and Spanish. I LOVE learning more about different cultures and seeing a country through the eyes of a local.

I am obsessed with both urban and outdoor hiking, but if I had a choice I’d live in the mountains over the city any day. Honestly my dream would be to have a nice little farm tucked away in the mountains!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I’m pretty much a fan of ALL kinds of music, but mostly anything I can groove to! But I will say that although I’m not a hater of country music, it’s not really a genre that gets play time on my Spotify. I’m willing to give it a try though, so maybe you can change my mind! I love music though and listen to a wide range of artists, whether it’s getting funky with Earth Wind and Fire or listening to Bon Iver and pretending I’m in an indie movie; raving to Martin Garrix or turning up to YG; cooking to Beethoven or chilling to the Wallows. I’d like to believe my music tastes are diverse, so if you know any artists that you think I don’t know but should absolutely listen to, I’m all ears!

As far as movies and shows go, I like movies that aesthetically capture my attention, like anything by Wes Anderson.

I once went scuba diving with hammerhead sharks in the Galápagos Islands 🤙🏽 And after that experienced the worst seasickness of my life 😅

I believe there is a particular beauty in the art of sharing and learning about another’s culture. It’s good for the soul, and honestly just makes you a better person. I’d love to share about my culture and learn about yours! I studied abroad in Ecuador and learned Spanish and now I’m currently living in Taiwan learning Chinese; learning languages and more about other cultures really opens you up to more opportunities all around the world!
