À propos de moi

I'm a Master's student researching structural and earthquake engineering with 1 year left. I still live with my parents because Vancouver is too expensive, but I hope to get my own place as soon as possible (as soon as I get a full time job).

I think I'm pretty funny, and social, and extroverted, so I get along with almost everyone. In my circle of friends in Vancouver, we have people from Brazil (me), India, Israel, Germany, England, Canada, Turkey, France, China, Indonesia, the USA, and more, so culture is no barrier. If we don't have a common language, I'm always ready to try and figure things out with actions.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I generally like to stay as long as I can everywhere I go so that I can really get a sense of how life is in that place, and so meeting locals is always high on my list of interests. Unfortunately, there are just too many places to visit, and so if sleeping at someone's house will let me meet people and stay somewhere better than a hostel, I'm 100% interested.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm really big on history and museums, and I'm a total ruin maniac. I'm generally not a huge fan outdoorsy stuff (AKA lazy), but whenever the mood strikes me, I'm known for going camping, hiking for multiple days, long bike rides, or kayak trips. Although I enjoy the journey as much as the destination, I generally need a destination to orient myself towards.
As an engineer, I'm also pretty into technology (even if it's ancient), and even though I'm picky, I still love to eat, and I'll try any beer you give me.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My favorite books are thrillers like the Da Vinci Code, or high fantasy like The Hobbit. Movies I like include those two types, but also action movies - my favorites are probably Iron Man, Inception, Catch Me If You Can, and Law Abiding Citizen.

For music, I like everything from electronic to emo and back, except country. My favorites lately have been deep house, tropical house, and indie rock. Current favorites include Catfish and the Bottlemen, Foals, X Ambassadors, John Newman, Metric, Madeon, and Justice.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I've climbed to top of Mount Olympus in Greece. It was pretty grueling two day hike, which I have a few stories about, and is one of the coolest thing's I've done.
