About Me

Like most of you surfers, I'm an adventurer who believes in the goodness of others and that if you bring kindness and generosity into the world, the world will reflect it back to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Figured it was worth a try, and I'll pretty much try anything once. I have high hopes for CS as I've heard lots of great things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Now a days it's all about Americana roots and country music for me, (though I still love a good rave and electronic music of all kinds), but I enjoy jazz, Brazilian, calypso, Cajun, hip hop, and most local flavors of music I encounter.

Tom robins is my favorite author, but other books in my top five are the "alchemist", "mystic path to cosmic power", "the prophet" and as far as "proper fiction literature", most of the beat era writings.

Movies: lord of the rings, the matrix, grand Budapest hotel (or anything Wes Anderson), Amalie, the big lebowski, and the ken burns jazz series to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing would be hard to choose... Living in Paris while writing a novel, touring around Ecuador and Peru on the way to Machu Picchu, back packing through Eastern Europe with my guitar on the way to Poland to apply for my polish citizenship, falling in love on the vaporazzos while stranded in Venice on a warm fall night. I'm up for adventure, of any kind.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'll have to get to that later. The truth is, I am currently writing a travel memoir about my experiences of living, loving, and letting go. These journeys are part of my process.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I've been told I'm a good conversationalist, I'm a pretty good cook, I generally try to bring a nice bottle of wine. I have done my best to learn as much as possible about the art of living well, and always happy to share if I can. Also I'm trained in yoga, chiropractic and physical therapy. But mainly I just love to write, play and sing songs, and always happy to share a tune, some good conversation, or whatever else the situation calls for.
