I'm not terribly interesting, I was born in New York and have lived there most of my life. I like movies, books, and I'm a dilettante generally. People often mistake my shallow knowledge on various subjects to wide learning, which is sometimes frustrating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling through Northern California, but away from the big cities it's pretty hard to find hostels. I like meeting people, and I prefer to stay at places where I can do that, so couchsurfing seemed the best bet for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Doctor Zhivago is probably my favorite movie. I'm currently reading a history book about the Imjin war, but it's hard to find time to read while you're on the road. I'll listen to just about anything.
