Overview
About Me
I find it particularly hard to live away from the sea, sailing and diving are a big part of my life.
I have a big sense of humor, a bit dark sometimes. I occasionally enjoy partying, but mostly stick with going for drinks and enjoying the company. I'm not a big fan of crowds, but I'm very sociable in smaller groups.
My soul is bitterly divided between my love for sports/outdoors and naps.
I really like travelling, and rather than always moving around I sometimes try to stay in one place for longer periods of time to experience what is like to live there. I know it limits the number of places I can go to within my life time, but it lets me understand and learn so much more. I'm also really into trying out different food, and learning how to cook it.
I lived my last 4 years abroad, mostly in Prague doing my masters. I currently live inbetween Lisbon and Tavira.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I once found myself homeless on a business trip and didn't have money to stay anywhere else in the meantime. I desperately tried couchsurfing as I had heard about it from friends, and was saved by one of the kindest people I've ever met. I not only received a warm welcome, but also got to meet someone new in a way I did not expect. Decided to use cs since then, its a good way to meet, spend time together and have a deep, meaningful exchange with people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I listen to all kinds of music. I mostly listen to jazz and blues when I drive so I don't road rage and end up killing someone.
Movies/Series: I could keep going forever here, rather just talk about it!
Books: The Age of Surveillance Capitalism, Dan Brown, Jules Verne, J. R. R. Tolkien, George R. R. Martin, The Witcher, Brave New World...I also read a lot of technical stuff.
This section would take too long to fill, but I'm happy to share and discuss all of it with you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I sailed with my family from Lisbon to the Madeira archipelago. Would really like to find people interested in doing something similar again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share a bit of history and possible locations/experiences to look for in my country, I really like sharing the history of my country, so much happened in the past which still defines Portuguese identity.
I'm constantly learning new things, from History and politics to psychology, biology, and mostly science. I like sharing what I learned and discuss it.
I can teach you how to sail and dive. If you're in Lisbon, I can show you around my favourite outdoors area, Sintra, or set you up for scuba diving in Sesimbra.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like cooking, and depending on the circumstances I'm a big storyteller. Other times I'd rather just listen.
