I think living like a local when you travel somewhere is the best way to experience a city or country - far better than staying in hotels or Airbnb's where you're still sort of in your own bubble.

It's really nice having access to someone with experience in a city and someone you can learn a lot from, also in terms of culture, habits, places to go / places not to go.

Most of all I feel like people who are open to host complete strangers are the most fun, interesting and amazing people in the world.

Movies: don't have a favorite but I like any genre as long as its a good movie
Books: mostly audiobooks, found them to be the most amazing thing for flights, public transport etc
