About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Finding out what in life makes us humans feel good.

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in southern east Italy, I've always been a traveler at heart. My worldly pilgrimage started when I did a high-school exchange in Seattle, WA, where I lived for a year, after which it has proven hard to stop. I moved to the Netherlands where I got a BA in Sociology and Anthropology, then another semester abroad in Kearney, Nebraska. After graduation I moved to Sydney Australia where I worked in a creative clothing shop which motivated me to go back to Italy and learn dress making and tailoring. I've lived in Milan for the last two years, although I was in London for 6 months at the end of 2016. Now considering finishing my education in the UK, Switzerland, US.
I consider myself as creative, hands-on, as intellectual, mental. I am fluent in English and somewhat well spoken. I am deadly curious, I love to learn new things, about anything, all the time. I love anecdotes, stories, fun facts, and I'm ready to share the good number o have. What I feel I truly love to learn about is life, society, others, how others cope with life, what their point of view is, what motives drive them. Maybe the secret of humanity is just communication? "Just"
I sometimes go by Andre.
I don't eat meat, I eat fish.
I prefer wine over beer. Whiskey over rum.

PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short for poor conversation and cheap wine. Quality over quantity.

I LOVE:
Sharing myself with others, discovering things I didn't know, Thai food.
I DISLIKE:
Banality, snobbery, the smell of garlic on my fingers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe that once we realize we're all much more alike than different, we start leading more fulfilling lives. Crushing on people's couches, getting to know them and spending time with them is another way to learn and be reminded of this.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

An exciting trip with a friend discovering that there are people in Italy, the country I thought I knew all too well, who are all very different from one another and that I had never imagined I would meet and shared few of my days with.
I fortunately get to travel a lot and move from country to country, but sadly this means I hardly have the space to host. However, I'd love to get to know you and explore the city with you.

Interests

Cultures, society, philosophy, linguistics, books and literature, writing, the arts, architecture, movies, nightlife, and really so much more... Simply put, I'm curious about so many things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the age of three I would venture in the woods all alone and happily come back at night leaving my parents in despair!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm ready to share all the crazy things I've done in the last quarter of a century, of time with rich Manhattan ladies, of my insane university, of the million jobs I had, of my bonfires as a teenager, of the blings of Versace couture. And I'm ready to hear your stories.
If you're keen I can even teach you some sewing or language (I was both an English and sewing teacher at one point).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Company, good talk (I talk a lot about everything ), exchange and connecting. I'm also a good cook (Italian food and more), I'm clean and respectful, I'm extroverted and talkative. I consider myself a hospitable person and I like to keep in touch and return the hospitality anyway I can!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Montenegro, Morocco, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
