ABOUT ME

I'm Andre, I'm 35 years old, I'm Brazilian and I live in New York with Jhon, he is flight attendan. I studied Management Computer Networks, working with TI - Support informatics. I love technology. I'm a little shy, but I love making friends, traveling, cultures, I value my friends, and people who like me. I like reading, watching music, love movies, watching movies at home with friends, go out to a bar with friends, have fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best thing for me when traveling is to get to know people, learn how they live, hear their stories, understand them. I don't deny: I also look for a free place to sleep. I've been traveling a lot lately on a very small budget thanks to couch surfing! But I have learned that even if I had lots of money I would not trade the experiences I've been having on couchsurfing with a fancy hotel. I would even pay for those experiences if I could and its still hard to believe they are free, hosting or surfing. Many times I skip the main tourist sights if I have to pay for them and I don't mind trading it for spending some time with my host or somebody else. I totally understand though that you as a host might be busy and can't spend much time with me. When I host I don't mind giving a free place to sleep either, off course, as long as that is not the only reason you're asking me for a couch. I want you to feel at home and that includes you having to at least offer to wash your dishes, making up your bed and cleaning after yourself. **Perola**

Interests

I am interested to know as many as possible different places, people and culture, to learn to respect and understand different kinds of people.

My goal is also to benefit from the cultural exchange provided by living, albeit brief, with people from other parts of the world.

I love reading a good book, love watching musicals, cinema, theater, hanging out with friends for a chat, a drink bar, dinner or even occasionally for a song, go out dancing. I like gym, sports.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flying by helicopter to the city of Rio de Janeiro, great emotion when it passed very close to the Christ the Redeemer considered one of the seven wonders of the world. Visiting the famous Iguazu Falls, is a set of about 275 falls of water on the Iguaçu River consecrated one of the Seven Wonders of Nature. Diving in Porto de Galinhas - Recife my first experience, my baptism in diving! Amazing experience!!! Live in Panama, discover the charms of that place, especially its beautiful Caribbean beaches. And now you can have this incredible experience of living in NY, meet and learn daily its culture, its custumes! I love this city, the city that never sleeps !!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always looking for information of how can I be a better one. I would love to listen experiences of life and to share the few I already have. Always good to be able to teach Portuguese and learn a new language, a little of its culture and customs

What I Can Share with Hosts

Couchsurfing for me is all about human interaction, I do couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and making new friends. Love to hear about my host's stories and experiences.

I consider myself very considerate. I respect my hosts timing, space, privacy and personality. I will, at least, make up my bed or my couch, clean whatever you let me use and offer to help in house duties which I will be very happy to do.
