About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to know creative and alive people.

ABOUT ME

Yes, it's difficult to define yourself, and also because sometimes you're changing a lot along the way. But, roughtly speaking, I love to play music, to laugh, to get to know different people and places, to get tasty things done in the kitchen and, above all, to learn from other people's life perspective.

PHILOSOPHY

Do good, be honest with others and yourself.

Reinvent myself all the time, gathering new experience and skills. This way I don't get bored with myself (and tend to have interessting people around me)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started hostind a Hungarian friend-of-a-friend here in Rio, and it was just awesome. I hadn't done that before and was a little skeptic about the CS premises, but I've realized it really makes connections to very interessting people. So I've decided to come here and create my profile.

Afterwards, I've traveled to the Eastern Europe (June-July 2011) meeting CS people all the way. It was awesome. I went from Moscow to Berlin getting to know different CS hosts, and it totally made a difference than not having this connection to interessting people. At Krakow (Poland) there were so many CS friendly people, and they were so receptive, that I even had to write down a hour schedule, to get to meet them! At the end we all went to the square, and I've teached them how to play pandeiro and triangle, while I played my pifano flute, it was awesome. (!)

That was my last big international trip, and I got a while without using CS, but as I am going to BH for the carnaval, I decided to reconnect with CS, so I can get to know nice people from BH before I get there. I'm probably staying at AirBnB, but it would be just great to connect with some CS friends to go to the best parades.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first europe trip: I got to know all my family roots, including finding living distant relatives in Portugal.

Teach, Learn, Share

Music: I'm always very happy to teach people a bit of any instrument I play! And besides teaching, I love to use music to gather people, for example making musical interventions in public places. Check some videos of that experiment, that me and my musician friends call "forró portátil" (portable forró):

Cook: I'm not a pro, but I take cooking as a very intense hobby. I love italian, french and brazilian food, and would love to learn other dishes as well!
