Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE the jazz and swing music from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. I also like some classic rock and most of the popular music from the 80's and 90's. There's a lot of folk rock and some country that I like as well. Right now I'm really into Renee Olstead, The Beatles (and the soundtrack from Across the Universe), Elenowen, The Civil Wars, Joy Williams, Nickel Creek, The Secret Sisters, Clare Bowen (songs from the show Nashville), Christina Perri, Jay Nash, and Sara Haze.
I LOVE musicals! Newsies and Little Shop of Horrors are my favorites!!
Even though I'm almost 30, I love Disney movies! Although, Ever After is probably my favorite version of Cinderella.
I love syfy movies and books and pretty much anything in the Marvel or DC universes. A few of my favorite shows/movies/books include Doctor Who, Firefly, Serenity, LOTR, Harry Potter, Torchwood, Agents of Shield, Lost, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Robin Hood Men in Tights, The Princess Bride, The Uglies series, Narnia series, the Circle series, Hunger Games series, Maze Runner series, Divergent, and The Martin.
I also really like Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice (especially the 1995 BBC movie version!) and all the old Audrey Hepburn movies. Also I LOVE Christmas music and movies!
Sorry this is so long! Ha :P
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've lived in Kansas most of my life (with the exception of 6 years in San Diego, CA) and have only traveled to a handful of other states. I've never been overseas or even to the east coast! So I can't think of anything amazing I've done that relates to travel, but I've managed to raise two pretty awesome little boys and I think that's pretty amazing. :)
