About Me

I'm a starting solo wanderer who plans to take on the world! (Or, probably, just travel, you know?)

I didn't grow up in a wealthy family and I'm just starting on my own (from scrap and all those left over debts and everything) but those difficulties can't dampen the wanderlust in me. I've always loved learning about new places. Usually, when I don't have enough money to go to new places, I read books (A LOT). Somehow, by reading about those places, I feel like I'm already there.

But then, that won't be enough.

So, I'll be starting on a new chapter in my life for travelling. I figured not having a huge budget alloted for one's journey is an excuse given by someone who doesn't know how to travel properly. I've read a lot of travel blogs and was amazed to learn that I don't really have to be insanely rich to go to different places. You just have to be smart and resourceful.

I'm trying to be, anyway. 😆

Comes in Couchsurfing which lets me meet new local friends and allows me to ask for help on my journey on becoming a soulful traveller. Hopefully, I'll be making a lot of local and non-local friends here.

I can promise you that I don't bite.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making new friends never gets old. And it's a bonus when you meet them on one of your travels. I think you can have a glimpse of a whole new different culture by meeting the right people from the places you go to and I'm definitely looking forward to that! 😊

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've seen - The clear night sky view from an island. It was nothing like I've ever seen before.

One amazing thing I've done - Go pubcrawling with people I didn't know. I went alone, in a streak of rebelliousness, and met a group of awesome people and opened my eyes to the things I've yet to experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm all new to the travelling solo stuff so I'll just leave something here for those who are scared/nervous begginers like me.

Living afraid is the way to go. You push forward, you fight the demons, you keep moving. Fear tries to paralyze you, to keep you from moving. It stops success, it stops progress - when you do things afraid, you're still accomplishing your goals, only, you're doing it knowing that you are truly conquering the Everest in your life.

(Ruin, Amy Harmon)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Book and music recommendations. Philosophical and weird debates about mundane stuff. Funny and unforgettable moments. Souvenirs from where I'm from. Probably a drink or two (anyone?)
