About Me

Hello my name is Andrea, I' m 26 and I'm from Milan but I've been living and working abroad with my girlfriend Alessia for the last 4 years.
We lived for almost 2 years together in Tenerife, Canary Island and then we decide to start a new big adventure so we flew to Brisbane and in a bit more than a year we fully lapped Australia, doing more than 45000kms by car, sleeping in our tent in more than 150 different places and doing for little periods every kind of job could support us for the following months.
After Australia we realised that we were still hungry for adventures so we flew to Bali and started backpacking around south-east Asia for 3months.
In July we came back to italy because after 2 years travelling without breaks we needed to spend some time with our families and we took advantage to know a bit more our beaitiful country.
Now (February 2020) we are starting to get quite bored here and so we decided to move to the extreme Iceland!!
We are landing in Reykyavik on the 9th of March and we'll start to look for a job as soon as possible.
Making some friends at the begin of our Icelandic stay would be very important for us to get introduced better into the local culture so if you are from Iceland or also living there since a quite long time don't hesitate to contact us...!
You are more than welcome to have a look at our pages on Instagram and Facebook, we are signed in both as Traveling.simple :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We think that Couchsurfing is one of the best inventions ever; sharing experiences and help each other should be something everybody should be pleasured to do.
We also love to explore deeply every place we visit and we know that nobody can give better recommendations than local people.
Thanks to couchsurfing we made some good friend and we spent some great time with people with a different culture: we learnt already a lot and we would like to go on with this!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pretty much every kind of music, someday I feel like to listen Classic Italian music other days rock, rap, pop but unfortunately I' m not a good singer at all. ':)
I really like adventure movies and documentaries; thrillers, action and horrors are also fine.
One of my favourite film is "Tracks" and obviously "Into the wild".
In the past I used to read lots of biographies of the great characters who changed the world in some way, now I prefer to read books about adventurous trips and running.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I left Italy (the place I used to call home) when I was 19, since that day I didn't want to "put the roots" anywhere again for a long period.

-I challenged myself to run an half-marathon and after 3 months of hard training (by myself) I succeeded to finish one in 1h35.

-I fully lapped Australia by 4WD with my grifriend Alessia.

-We did 3 months of backpacking around Asia

-We lived together for two weeks at an amazing beach in Tenerife, Canary Island with no electricity or running water.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching, learning and sharing are one of the main reason of our trips.
We like to learn as much as we can of the history and the culture of the people and places we bump into along our way.
Languages are very interesting for us and we are always ready to learn some new words from anybody (we even tried to learn some aboriginal language, indonesian, thai and arab during our last trip in Jordan)
We also love so much food, eating is definitely one of our favourite hobbies :) , we can share some good recipes , we are very curious about local food and we can probably cook the best lasagna you' ve ever tried. (100%satisfied or fully refunded) :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share with you so many funny and adventurous stories, good recipes, we are open to talk about everything and open to any kind of plan too.
We'll always respect your decisions, plans and rules!
