About Me

Hello everyone, i'm Andrea!

** Welcome to my profile **
just few words about me

I grew up in a little village of 1200 people with an old mindset; find a job, start a family and not travel! I’m the black sheep of my village!
In 2015 i decided to walk the Camino of Santiago, a peligrim way that colleague France to Spain, was the best idea in my life and I've got the travel bug.

From that moment i was entering the idea of discover all the world! Always looking to discover new things, new places, new cultures, new perspectives, the world is too big to stay in only one place

I am an easy going person, I like to travel much as i can and meet new people! i'm very adventurous and open mind! i'm very flexible and I fit in anywhere. I m enjoying the experince of getting/giving local advise to make a trip more exciting and feel like authentic.

The world is a book, and those who don't travel only read one page!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are no strangers here, only friends you haven't yet met! that's my philosophy!

Over the last 5 years, Couchsurfing has brought me many great experiences with people as amazing as they were diverse. I was hosted by people in all kinds of settings, met with others for music performances and festivals, city tours or just a drink and a nice conversation.
CS is not for find a free accomodation, but for meet new people, new cultures and discover a new country like a local!

Interests

I am a backpacker, I enjoy photography and always looking forward to learning more languages.
Running, traveling, dining out and anything else that gets me out of the house.
Outdoor sports in general, anything that involves risk and adrenaline.
I really love meeting new people from all over the world and couchsurfing has blessed me with that opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Depends on the mood. I might like local music sometimes or classical music, or even electro and rock,I try to find the ''magic'' of music within any kind.

Books: The most recent was about body language. I like historical books and books about traveling the world.

Movies and series: let's say I don't like horror movies, I really like sitting on sofa watching movie and start to laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled in Armenia, and thanks to Couchsurfing fall in love with a girl and now we are living together.

The most Amazing thing i did in my life was the "Camino de Santiago" known in English as the" Way of Saint James" walking 1078km in 26 days. Started from the mountain of France, arrived on the ocean in Spain.

Climbed the Kilimanjaro mountain in Tanzania, 5895 meters

Climbed an active volcano till the lava lake at the summit, the Erta Ale in Ehtiopia.

Took a minubus Ethiopia with 12 people inside, and drove for 5 hours cause the driver was drunk and i was the only one with a license.

I run three marathons in my life: Verona, Barcellona and Athens.

Visited the nuclear power plant of Chernobyl and the ghost town of Pripyat.

Went to dance, go out from the club in the morming and direct to Skydive in Alessandria from 5000 meters of altitude

Bungee jump from one of the world's highest commercial bungee bridge at 216 metres in South Africa

Walking side by side with lions in the Zimbabwe's savanna

Be amazed by a spectacular northern lights show in Iceland.

Hitchhiked more than 10000000 km arund the world

I spent 3 full days on a train riding the legendary Trans-Siberian Railway

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm sure I could find something to learn, teach or share with everyone.
I'd like to learn how to play a musical instrument and to speak others languages.
I can teach how to travel on low cost budget, how to belive in yourself and never give up, and of course as Italian how to cook a magical dish of pasta.
