About Me

I was born in Madrid but lived most of my life in Italy. I have recently graduated in the Netherlands, majoring in Neuroscience and Psychology. I have a wide variety of interests but my big passion is music and I like everything that concerns it. I like spending countless hours listening to new music, but I also like to DJ, produce electronic music, play a bit of guitar and piano. Another interest of mine is sound engineering and I love vintage music playing equipment (old amplifiers, turntables and speakers). I am currently not accepting guests because I have not been living in Italy for 4 years now and I just moved out of the Netherlands. I am going to be studying in London in the future and will be very happy to host people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am about to embark on my first big solo trip to South America and I decided this time to give couchsurfing a try. It is a great opportunity to make new friends, meet local people, have the chance to learn and practice the language, enjoy local culture and get to experience the culture from within, rather than from outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like everything that's good really, from the good old classic rock classics from the 60s-70s, to Jazz, Bossanova, Funk, Hip Hop, Punk, all kinds of underground electronic music like house, techno, minimal, drum 'n' bass, minimal, garage, jungle, etc. (I am just not a big fan of EDM). My favorite music genre is probably IDM (Aphex Twin if you need a name for reference), it's a genre that sits in between ambient, techno and experimentation.

Movies: My favorite movies are: 2001 A Space Odissey; The Good, The Bad and The Ugly; The Deer Hunter; The Matrix (for something lighter). But I also like a lot anime movies like the ones from Miyazaki.

Books: 1984; On the Road; Survivor (by Palhaniuk);

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to tell from my own perspective, perhaps having the privilege of working in New York in a lab researching about autism and being part of the global effort of learning more about this condition and what to do to relieve the suffering of those affected by it

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always up to talk about philosophy or teach about the wonders of neuroscience. I also like to teach people the little I know about music, music production, djing or just playing instruments. I also love plants and whenever I get a chance I try to grow things from seed, so I can teach what I know about that. Also, if anyone is ever interested in learning italian or learning how to cook some italian specialties you're always free to ask!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always happy to cook for people and see the faces they make when they get to experience some authentic italian cuisine.
