About Me

Hi! I'm Andrea, an italian student who lives in Milan. I just finished high school and just started couchsurfing. I'm looking forward to this new experience and to have the opportunity to host somebody in Milan.
I like my city and my social life there, but wilderness would probably be my favourite habitat.
Some people say I look always serious but I actually am pretty cheerful person.

I believe we must all act seriously to contrast climate/enviromental crisis. For this reason I recently stop eating meat in order to reduce my carbon footprint. I support and I'm active in the fridays for future movement in Milan.

I like making new friends and discovering what's unique in each person I met.
I am not very picky and I tend to adapt to every situation I found myself in, maybe because I like darwinism... 😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm sorry if I don't have many couchsurfing expériences. A Friend of mine recently suggested this app for my interail trip and I'll start hosting people as soon as I'm back!

I believe that traveling is a great experience to better understand yourself and the world around you. Going out of your comfort zone and learning about differents and similarities among cultures should be the goals of a respectful travel. In that view, couchsurfing is the best way to travel differently, making you want to understand the place you visit thanks to a local host. While traveling, I prefer this kind of social and "antisystem" interaction rather than just entertaining through the mass-tourism places everyone visits.

Interests

I try to be informed on the news regarding my country and the world around me. I like history and arts but I'd like to know more about it.
My real passion is nature and animals. I love hiking and looking for biodiversity in each place I go. More than every single bird or insect I like nature and the history of live as a whole.
I like photographing the animals I find and I'd like to improve my photography skills.
My interest in animals has led me to study biology at university, hoping that I could possibly work as a scientific researcher. Even tough I'd like to be a scientist in my life, I really like literature and I spend my time reading books or writing essays (for the school paper).
