Overview
About Me
I've surfed a few times now, and I really look forward to the day that I can host other travelers! Soon to come... I've also made some friends through CS events, which is a great way to grow into a new city.
I'm very down to earth, and I've been told I'm really easy to talk to! I'm a big nature lover, and I'm always learning new ways to experience the outdoors. My favorite thing about traveling is learning about local traditions, foods, music, mannerisms, traditional crafts, and styles. It's not important for me to check off all of the touristy things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am always thinking about what experience I want to have next. While I do try to live in the moment as much as I can, I can't help but day dream! Meeting other people with the traveling spirit makes me happy :)
I'm on couching surfing because meeting people and staying in their homes completely changes the traveling experience - it means so much more to me to learn about local lifestyles and traditions. I really love suggestions of local places to go and foods to eat from local residents because it may introduce you to a more realistic way of life.
Interests
I am a big arts-and-crafter. I sew, knit, embroider, anything creative really!
I also love anything outdoors related i.e. camping, hiking, walking, going to the beach, botanical gardens, and bike touring.
I work in the museum field - I am interested in fine art, folk art, architecture, live music, and theater performance.

Music, Movies, and Books
I appreciate different music from around the world. I'll listen to almost anything that's fun and/or calming.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first time in Europe/solo traveling was to southern Spain. It rained nearly the whole time, in May, and it was still amazing! While living in Scotland I picked up cycle touring, also solo, and I am eternally grateful for the three trips I took while there. Each one was increasingly difficult, but they solidified my hunger for more cycle touring!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you my crafting knowledge, appreciation for good food and the outdoors, and friendly conversation about life and travels! I can also share my open-mindedness and willingness to try new things. I can teach all sorts of crafting techniques - and I would love to do them with you!
