Overview
About Me
I have traveled the world for 20 years searching for " other " information.
I used to work teaching sports like snowboarding, windsurfing, mountain biking, or as horseback, mountain bike or snorkel and scubadive guide.
When there was no such work to be found I would work on construction sites or clean in hotels, or work in a factory.
I stopped drinking Alkohol with 21, for fitness reasons- but don't care if you do for a party reason. If you choose to be inebriated every or all day long please don’t contact me. I choose to not hang out with you.
I also spent several times in monasteries and ashrams in the Himalayas and other parts of the world.
On the way I amassed certificates in healthcare systems such as massage, the 'Bodytalk System' (anatomy & physiology, TCM,) Sivananda Yoga.
Eventually I encountered a very humble and incredible knowledgeable Chinese teacher and am now a certified qigong master after years of very tough, thorough and still ongoing education in theory and practice by said Chinese qigong grandmaster whom has shared several of his accumulated secrets about Qi and the laws of the universe.
Very mysterious - one would think - but not so much in it's applied version. Just life and its universal laws. Pretty down to earth. More science than esoteric.
Due to a pretty wrecked body by the age of 32 - from all the years of extreme sports
(windsurfing 4-8 m height waves with 8-9 Beaufort, downhill mountain bike racing -Spanish female master and downhill racing snowboard - U.S. Open), I do no more "extreme" sports.
I now teach "Yuan Gong" ( a form of medical Qigong ) and "Ren Xue" ( a life cultivation system - to help with life problems of all sorts).
If you are interested you can check out my website. If not..no worries: www.renxuelife.com
All my old sports injuries accumulated over the years have healed completely over the course of some years of practicing this form of qigong and life cultivation.
But I still love me some hiking or swimming in nature.
I teach workshops and seminars internationally and also work via the internet....so I tend to have time in between seminars to discover new corners of the world.
I like to get to know the 'know how' of a country/ area/ culture. I prefer to stay longer at a place and let things naturally seep in and develop.
I am not exactly a fan of rushing from one exiting venue to the next and see as many things as possible in 5 min. I love to get to a place and hang out. Get the feel. Check out the ' vibe'. Experience the place. Hanging and relaxing is just as fine as action sometimes. - whatever the novelty of the day brings. I am pretty independent but if someone wants to join - welcome.
This is why staying with locals is a wonderful way of traveling, at least for me.
I have made thousands of overwhelmingly positive experiences with humans along the years in their respective lives. Rich, poor, educated or not, etc.
Traveling mostly by myself. Only a few not so comfortable or uneasy, unsafe encounters.
I love to experience humans in the surrounding of their privat settings...what I have learned on my travels so far is that every - yes every-body has got an amazing heart, mind and individual destiny, has got something interesting to say, hear, to think about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just found it - august 2017 - I have been traveling for 20 years now....I think it's an amazing idea...it will be intriguing and interesting to find out how it is in practice....
Also...traveling as a tourist is making me feel like cattle, as if I would miss out on things...and it is difficult to 'escape' ones own " patterns - habitual things of how one does things" - living with locals of course gives you a real insight into culture and " how it works here" . Gives insight into how language is used and humor and do's and don'ts.

...and continue to do...facing the responsibility of leading a purposeful life...trying my best at this...
Teach, Learn, Share
Ren Xue and Yuan Gong - it's my job to teach this but if you are really interested I am more than willing to teach you some....I do teach thoroughly- superficial is just not my thing - but I am just as fine with shutting up and not needing to give my two cents....it's all up to you and your " thirst for information".
What I Can Share with Hosts
All sorts of knowledge about deeper relaxation, why, what, how... Some secrets about Qi (-the stuff that is worked on in acupuncture, lol), share views and philosophies from other cultures.
Privacy. A good laugh. An ear to listen. An open Heart.
A Qi healing session.
- beware...: you might end up being deeply relaxed for a while.....
