About Me

I'm a Boulder, Colorado native who recently moved to a tiny village in Slovakia! I love meeting good people, trying local beers, and petting every single dog I come across.

I'm always excited to do something a little uncomfortable and a little inconvenient. You know that feeling after a long hike where everything hurts and you might be dying, but you've also never felt so good? I'm constantly chasing that sort of satisfaction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just starting out in the Couchsurfers community, but I would love to meet some great people during my own travels, and eventually be able to return the favor when back in Colorado (or at least settled somewhere).

Music, Movies, and Books

Always listening to: Donovan, Mother Mother, Wu Tang Clan, The Who, Neutral Milk Hotel, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Bob Dylan, Hinds, Beyonce, Coconut Records, Max Frost, Ben Khan, Houndmouth, Alabama Shakes, Pink Floyd, Donnie Trumpet, and Glass Animals, to name a few. I love all sorts of music, but my favorite tends to be folk music.

Films: Documentaries, cult classics, and anything by Wes Anderson.

Books: Tolkien, Nabokov, and Salinger are among my favorites. I also love a well-written economics or history book - anything I can learn from, really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Sang opera backed by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra

- Given myself not one, not two, but five black eyes from accidentally hitting myself in the face. It's amazing in its own right.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good music and good conversation. I also make some mean vegan food (:
