About Me
I am living alone near to Nantes, a beautiful young town near to the Atlantic coast. As I am working and living alone in my house, I love meeting people. My friends are from 8 different nationalities and it is always great to exchange.
I am working as an independent technical journalist (earning not much money), I wait for my retirement which should take place within two years.
I have a beautiful son who is skipper and Diving Instructor, so he is travelling all over the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love discovering other countries, other cultures, other climates. In my eyes, it is impossible to be on holiday in France where I am living or in Germany where I have been born. Holidays mean to me : changing 100 % of the daily life. I appreciate learning about how other people live in different countries. How they face daily life, their values and their dreams. Of course, Couchsurfing is less expensive than hotels or air bnb ... but this is not the main reason. As a standard tourist, you never get really in contact with the local people, only with tour operators who explain in a commercial way the highlights of the countries. This does not interest me. Of course, when I travel I appreciate visiting interesting sites, but I prefer the contact with the "real people".
