About Me
Hello couch surfers! I hope all is fantastic where ever you are in the world! I love travelling. I love everything about it. I even love the parts that aren't so fun. Like getting lost, being out of your comfort zone and even getting sick can be rewarding in a weird and twisted way. You learn a lot about yourself when you're in a crapy run down hotel in Indonesia and can't eat or drink for three days and are purging every 10 seconds!
I'm a dog lover. Dog people are great. My main activities presently are mountain biking, kite boarding, running, paddling and lifting weights here and there. I'm not a fanatic with exercise but it does make me happy. I also enjoy relaxing, trying new foods and micro breweries. I love dark beer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have known about couch surfing for a while but never gave it a try...until now, hopefully. I have a new school friend who says it's great. She's hosted 40 people and surfed twice. She said you meet lots of really interesting and fun people. The main reason is that I'd rather hang out with locals and experience the true culture rather than just hit all the tourist destinations. Plus you save a lot of money! That's always a bonus.
Interests
I am interested in trying new things, exploring, meeting cool people, laughing, having tons o' fun, and eating yummy food! Getting to know and understand other cultures and their connection to source is also at the top of the list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm, I think there have been several amazing things I have done but it's hard to remember them. I've saved lives. That's pretty cool. But it's my job so I don't think it counts.
Recently I put a functional art piece (table lamp) in an exhibit in a high end gallery in down town Victoria (Vancouver Island, BC). It sold on the 2nd day. It was my first piece and I'm stoked.
Teach, Learn, Share
I coach all sorts of paddling sports. Paddling is pretty awesome. Nature is beautiful all on it's own, but there is something so special about a person powered craft all alone out on a body of water. It's so peaceful, rhythmic and graceful.
I love learning anything from people who are passionate about whatever it is they are teaching me. I've also been known to photograph people's passions. Super cool!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good times of course! I am a big fan of conversation and getting to know people.
