About Me

I'm a 30 year old girl who loves travelling and aims to learn from people she meets all over the world.
I left my hometown (Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain) when I was 20. I was seeking to meet people with different points of view, so I decided to ask for a schoolarship to move around. I moved to Valencia, Spain, where I finished my Nursery studies. It was such a great life experience for me... I realized myself that I love to be sorrounded by people from different cultures, to listen to stories they have to tell, to try to engage different perspectives/costumes to my way of thinking/doing.
After spending one academic semester learning Portuguese in the University of Aveiro (Portugal), I move to Barcelona, Spain, seeking for a nurse job. I worked as a Mental Health Nurse for three years. I really enjoyed this job because I learnt a little bit about how our mind works, and I found it very interesting.
Because of my neverending desire to learn, I studied a Master's degree in International Health, wich gave me the opportunity to make an internship with an NGO in a local area of the Peruvian Andes.
After that, I spent one year finnishing my studies of Anthropology in Madrid (Spain) and then I decide to move back to Barcelona (Spain). Now I'm working as a Social Nurse in a shelter for homeless people. I really love this work but next month I'm moving to Shanghai (China) to improve my chinese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A good friend of mine told me about CS a few years ago. I have to confess that at first I didn't believe too much in this kind of plataforms. But now I regret my retrust. I've heard so many friend's good experiences travelling this way, that finally I decided to join you!
My past travelling experience has been always a more "traditional" one, I mean, staying in hostels or at friends' places. But this kind of experiences not always allowed me to meet local people, nor learn more about the places I visit. So that's the reason why I'm on CS!!
