I'm a student in northern California studying forestry in the redwoods. I grew up in southern California in collective houses, growing our food together and being supportive communities. I grew up swimming, surfing and generally spending most of my time at the beach. I also have always loved to travel, since half of my family is from Mexico and I spent the summers there, as well as reading, drawing, and meeting people. Cooking is another activity I love to do and share with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is ideal for me because it allows you to meet people who live where you are visiting. It's a very different experience from being only exposed to other travelers or visitors. It is also one of the only ways that travel can be possible for me since money is usually tight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking the Rocky Mountains for a month. In high school, I did a zero-waste excursion and crossed the Rockies and continental divide with a group of other high schoolers from across the country. One of the first times I realized I wanted to spend time outside, potentially as a career.
