About Me

I am an easy-going gal who loves to travel. I'm sociable and I try to be the best version of me I can be. I've lived in Chile (my home country), the US, Mexico and I am currently living in Spain. I love to live in different places and to have friends from all over the world. Each culture has something that may enrich me and others, so I appreciate that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I initially joined couchsurfing from a need of a place to stay but reading profiles of hosts I have come to realize that this community goes way behond a place to stay and it is very attractive for me. I have decided to give CS a real try by focusing on the real thing that is important: the people and not just the place. For that, I'll try to participate more on CS activities. Even though I can't host people at the moment, I will try to participate in CS activities.

Interests

Once I read this article that said that some people are deep divers (look deeply into few topics) and others are scanners (like to learn and try everything). I am a scanner. I like a little of everything. Some of my interests or things I'd like to read about are: positive psychology, business development, customer experience, online business, blogging, series (a little hooked on some of these...oops), baking cakes, cooking new recipes (although I have to say I am very conservative in the ingredients but I am trying to expand my horizons), stationary (I know, it's weird but I love cute notebooks and related stuff), traveling (of course), positive body image, spirituality, learning languages (currently learning Catalan), sky diving...anyway, as you can see, I'm all over the place...but I guess I can talk about anything.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like pretty much most genres but I'm not a huge fan of heavy metal...but I have a bf who loves it so I guess I can handle it.
Movies: I wish I could say I'm into art cinema but I am pretty mainstream. SOme movies I like : Instinct (with Anthony Hopkins, El secreto de sus ojos (won an Oscar, amazing movie!!), among so many others I can't even name them...
Books: Shock doctrine, business books, psychology books ( One of the books I am reading is The Happiness advantage). SInce I don't have much time to read I do audiobooks now...good option if you don't have much time or get dizzy if you read in the metro.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learned a new language from scratch without classes (when I moved to the US)

Hot air balloon flying in the winter time...so beautiful!

hmm...what else? Well, I guess you'll find out more when we meet

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experience in the different countries I have lived in, I can cook or bake something for you and teach you how to do it, meaningful and interesting conversations, practice spanish with you if you are interested...and I guess above all, I can share my life and time with you for a couple of days and hope that my experiences and the way I am will help you discover or learn a thing or two, which is the same thing I hope to get from you , too. :-) If not, we can just have a good time talking and/or doing whatever you recommend.
