About Me

Hello!

My name is Andrea Carolina Pinto Payares (thank you mom and dad), but everybody calls me Andy. I am originally from Venezuela, and have lived since 2012 in Colorado. My upbringing taught me to distrust the world we live in, and I'm in a mission to not be scared anymore.

I would describe myself as a "people person", mostly because being around friends is my way to get past a bad day. My favorite part about meeting new people is learning a new way to view the world; so I have made it a point to always try new things when I get the opportunity. I think I'm a very happy person and fairly easy to like!

I really hope I get to meet you soon!
Andy

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My experiences - how I learn and grow from them - are all about the people I live them with. This is why, when traveling, I want to see how people in each place love their home. I've learned that I enjoy life more when I have someone to share my moments with, and couch surfing seemed like the perfect place to find that when traveling!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a weird obsession with WWII movies, so I really liked "Life is beautiful". However, you will find a big contrast because I can watch "The proposal" a million times. My taste in movies is seriously all over the place, and so is the music I listen to! As for books, I've never read too much - a quality I don't like about me - but I am starting to, so my favorite book is yet to be announced :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was about 10, I traveled with my family to Delta Amacuro (Venezuela) and we stayed in a hotel that was next to the river. I figured I'd see river dolphins and crocodiles, but little did I know I would get to swim with otters! Even more, these fellas were so used to people, they even got into our hotel room and on our beds one time while my little sister and I were napping!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A fun personality, lots and lots of smiles, cleanliness, respect for any rules you have, hopefully a life long friendship, and if we find "Harina Pan" I promise to make you delicious venezuelan arepas!!
