About Me

I consider myself a citizen of the world as both of my parents are Colombian, I was born in Miami, grew up between Madrid and Miami (8 years in each), then moved to France for 5 years, then did a 7 month internship in New Caledonia (a French territory in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, near Australia) for development cooperation. I moved to Barcelona a year ago to do a master's degree in international relations, security and development. I'm now finishing my master's but will start my second one in Sociology next year!

I'm pretty outgoing, open-minded and extremely positive (I smile A LOT). I love to dance (specially reggeaton, but also hip hop, funk and techno - I'm pretty open).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet some cool people who can give me some recommendations about their hometown and who would want to potentially show me around!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have phases with music (for a long time I was obsessed with rap and hip hop) but right now I'm on a reggeaton phase.

I love philosophical books on ancient teachings, such as those written by buddhists and earthkeepers/ shamans. But I mostly love feminist books (All About Love, King Kong Theory..), right now I'm reading "Sorcières" (Witches or Brujas) by Mona Chollet, an awesome French feminist writer.

I love horror movies (specially physiological thrillers like Old Boy, the Shining but also the Conjuring, Saw movies, Cabin in the Woods, the Perfection... ok all horror movies basically) and musicals (La La Land is my latest obsession but I used to love the Sound of Music).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I turned 18 I went to a remote village in Thailand to volunteer as an English teacher for a month. One of the most enriching/ rewarding experiences of my life that opened my eyes to the harsh reality most people live in.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some cool Colombian, Mexican and French recipes! I'd love to learn more recipes from all over the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My positivity and good company/ conversations mainly. If you're interested in practicing your English, Spanish or French, I can also help out with that!

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Spain, United States
