Hi! My name is Andrea, I'm an artist from Rome, based in Berlin.

In Rome I studied Philosophy and I used to work as a street artist. Then I moved to Berlin, where I studied contemporary dance and choreography. I finished my studies in 2020 and I am still based in Berlin, while I am traveling the world with my shows.

For a living I make performances between contemporary dance and visual theater, where I explore and interact with different material bringing them to life on stage. Currently I'm touring one piece with fire and one piece with polystyrene. I know it sounds a bit abstract :-) here are the trailers of the shows:

Besides performing arts I do also media and kinetic installations, as well as teaching dance and object manipulation, to fellow performing artists.

The beauty of my work is that it gets me to travel the world with my performances, and when I manage to carve some days off the touring schedule in order to explore the countries where I land on, I absolutely love it!

Interests

My world revolves around philosophy and art. I am very much interested in any form of contemporary art, particularly media and installative works. When it comes to performing arts, the interplay between contemporary dance, circus, and object theater is my particular niche, but I appreciate being exposed to any more traditional or modern practice, and I am an avid learner :-)

I play piano, and would be happy to share this with you. I love hiking: sometimes I have a craving for some mountain solitude, and go walking by myself for a few days in the mountains.

Currently, I am very busy with poetry, both as a reader and as a writer. It grew in me as a practice of creative resistance in this nomadic touring life I experienced in the last years. I read a lot, I write a lot, and I'd be thrilled to exchange on this topic.
