About Me
Hello everybody in the whole wide world :-)
my name is Andrea and I am from the North of Germany. Last year I decided that it's time now to make a break, leave the familiar and my habits at home and get to know different kinds of life.
I've been working for 18 years for my company and been living for more than 15 years in my apartment. Now the time has come to let all behind me for one year and to find if there is more in life (and I'm sure there is). My adventure will start on 1th July 18 and will lead me to Spain, India, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica and Ecuador (this is the plan but you never know...).
I want to get to know these countries and especially the people living in these countries. A good way to get a distance and rethink your own life is to let new people and attitudes in your live. And sometimes it is necessary to leave the own comfort zone to find out who you really are.
I am very excited about all the impression and inspiration I will get during my journey and if or how it will change me.
I am open, curious and honest. Sometimes I speak a lot and sometimes I am quiet. There are moments when I am in the mood to do something stupid ;-) I really like deep talk about life and everything that goe's on in peoples minds.
I like the sea and quiet moments in nature.
I like music and dancing and I hope to get the chance of keeping some special moments with my camera.
I'm very relaxed, humorous and happy with little things. I am not on the run and I don't have a list of things I want to see or I want to do during this year. I would like to ride the wind where it leads me and stay at places where I feel comfortable and where something touches my soul.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On my way I would like to get to know the places as authentically as possible. I want to know how it feels living in this country and how people are and what they think. This won't happen if I stay in hotels or with tourists. That's why I think that couch surfing is a great opportunity to share thoughts and to really understand the country.

Music, Movies, and Books
I looooove music and how it can bring people together. And to me it's one of the best and most intense ways to share feelings. I like rock, country, pop, latin, swing... but my heart belongs to rock.
There are too many great movies to have a favorite. I like star wars, thriller, love films (like 'pride & prejudice) and when my inner child comes out I also watch "the ice queen (frozen)" ;-)
I used to read a lot but at the moment I only read travel guides to get a little bit prepared:-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the past (long time ago) I worked as animator for children. It was great to see how easy it can be to make others smile. And I enjoyed it to let my inner child out :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I think it is always a great and interesting experience to spend time and have conversation with people who belong to a different culture. If you are open minded and curious you can learn a lot from each other. I don't expect anything special from a host but I am just thankful if people are willing to let strangers into their home and share some time. This is not something I take for granted.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am always in the mood for a good conversation and charing my thoughts honestly. I am interested in people and wish that they spend a good time with me. I am always ready to have fun :-)
I hope that after my journey I can give something back to the people I meet here and show them my home (whereever it may be then).
