About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've just spent the past 2 years working and traveling in Australia, New Zealand, and a wee bit of Scandinavia. Now my partner (Martin the Swede) and I are starting our next big adventure traveling from my home town of Toronto out to Western Canada. We are hoping to find work over the ski season so we can spend the winter in a place where people are actually excited to see snow! Oh and maybe learn how to ski ... I know, I know, I'm the worst Canadian ever.

It is my firm belief that the only way to truly experience a country is to get to know it's people and learn about their culture. Hence why I love couch surfing!

ABOUT ME

I studied Film Production at university and I specialized in screenwriting, although I love writing of all kinds. I'm extremely laid back and friendly, I like meeting new people and going on adventures big and small.

I love to laugh, stay up late cracking jokes or talking about life, the universe, and everything. I like exploring and am exceptionally curious, I'm one of those people who wind up wandering down alley ways just to see what's there.

I'm goofy and silly but enjoy learning from my peers.

PHILOSOPHY

"Who am I to blow against the wind?" - Paul Simon

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the reasons why I travel is to experience new cultures and new ways of life. It's all well and good to meet backpackers at hostels, but in order to truly discover a city I've found that it's best to get in with the locals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to feed a calf! And shear a sheep! As a city girl, I'm pretty excited about that.

I've also been hitch hiking, skydiving, white water rafting, black water rafting, and scuba diving. All of which are experiences I never thought I'd do and now I'll never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can sort of teach you how to knit and crochet, I can definitely teach you how to make actually yummy soup (hint: bacon), and I might be able to edit something you wrote or help you film a funny video.

I'd love to learn how to draw, rock climb, face paint and ski!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dinner (soup only ... okay maybe salad too), drinks, apparently I like to tell a lot of stories from my life too.
