Overview
About Me
I'm a Mexican student with hopes of traveling the world but with not enough dough to do so. I love craft beers and fancy eating (that may be why I don't have enough money to travel) I currently study International Relations, and live at my parent's (that's why I can't accept any guest rn) I'm trying to get my minor in African Studies and/or Gender Studies (here in Mexico we don't really have that major/minor stuff, I can explain better once we get to know each other!). I loved to read but then university came around, so lately I've only read things from school. So if you wanna discuss International Relations Theory, I'm your girl! (Or we could just spill the tee on the whole Huawei scandal!) I also love the ballroom scene and outdoorsy activities with my dog.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I bought some tickets to Canada a few months ago. Then I was accepted for a semester abroad in Germany. For a Mexican college student, those travels represent whole lota money! So I want to believe that there are as a matter of fact good people in this world and that those may help me out. I want to connect with those people and expand my social network all over the world! I have some friends from different countries because I did some volunteer work abroad and it is honestly the best thing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm honestly very boring when it comes to music. I do have different moods, however. I can listen and dance to reggaeton or dancehall, I can sing my heart out to mariachi, I can try my hardest to rap or I can just chill with some soft rock. But I usually just listen to anything to take a shower and that's it! I'm not the best DJ you're going to meet, for sure. I'm into movies, but again I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite genre or something. Regarding books, my faves to read are poems or essays by latin american writers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've had my hair dyed pretty much every color you could think of.
I spent a summer doing volunteer work in Costa Rica.
I spent last summer as a research fellow.
I organized a seminar on Gender Studies at my university!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach mexican spanish. I can help you master the very much feared "ahorita" and "órale"
I want to learn just how to get my life together!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be a chatty girl if you want to talk. I can be quiet if that's what you need.
We can be great friends after this if you are interested!
But what you'll always get is respect for you and your house.
I was also taught that when you stay at someone's place you are supposed to "acomedirte" (mexican word to express that you need to help out)
