About Me

I’m very open-minded; that’s why I love to meet people from different cultures, try new food, visit new places, read, and learn about different topics.

I have a passion for languages even if I lack the discipline or memory to study properly, I always try to learn at least a few words before visiting a new place (things like "hello, please, thank you, goodbye and yes/no" are basic and I think is a good way to show respect and connect with locals. Trust me it will be a bit funny but most people truly appreciate the effort). I actually love the different alphabets and seeing my name or random signs in exotic languages it's kind of cool.

I love music and dancing, more than anything.

I’m "relaxed" and respectful. I would say that I'm kind of shy at the beginning but if you get to know me and we connect you will make a friend for life. I'm a good listener and I will never judge.

The world is a beautiful place, full of kind people and there is no reason to be afraid of the unknown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It’s a great way to meet local people and other travelers. Being hosted by CSers is way better and more fun than staying at hostels, you can share experiences, get a closer look at the local culture, and discover "off-the-beaten-path" surprising spots.

When I have the opportunity I love to offer a place to stay, meeting people from all over the world is like traveling and it’s a nice way to re-discover the place you are living in. I strongly believe it’s not all about money or profit. Basically, I think you don’t need money to travel or to be happy.

I also enjoy doing hangouts and participating in events organized by the community.

It is simply a lot of fun and one of the best things I have ever done.

Interests

I'm always up for learning new things. My interests could be very random, to be honest ;). I could say what interested me the most is "people", I love to listen to life stories and learn from them, sharing and making friends from different backgrounds.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very flexible and I have a curious mind.

I love different kinds of music and I'm always looking for new sounds, I enjoy listening to the radio too especially when I'm traveling. I love live music; concerts, and festivals, it doesn't matter if they are in big venues or in cozy tiny spots. I consider myself a "raver" I enjoy electronic music and I think it is powerful, I can dance for hours just for the pleasure of it, even if there is no alcohol or drugs involved ;). For me, it is like therapy and I love to "let go" on the dancefloor.

About movies, I prefer "the indi ones" rather than the blockbusters. Sometimes the more exotic the better it's a very interesting way to learn about different cultures and points of view too. I love shorts and animated films; techniques like stop-motion are very impressive.

Enter the Void by Gaspar Noe is one of my favorites. Then we have the classics: anything by Kubrick and Scorsese (they are brilliant) and some must-seen oldies are "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "La Strada" by Fellini. Honestly, I have never really understood why people go crazy about sagas like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter🤷‍♀️, maybe fantasy worlds are not my thing.

I like to read the classics and a bit of philosophy too. Authors like Borges, Saramago, Kundera, and Gárcia Márquez are some of my favorites.

By the way, I'm a big fan of "Twin Peaks" and David Lynch. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to choose just one.

-Contemplate, I keep doing it.

-Traveling! It involves a lot of things, I'm sure you know what I mean.

-Bungee Jumping // Hitchhiking (especially memorable across Turkey from the Black to the Mediterranean Sea) //Paragliding // diving // Horse riding // Camping // Climbing

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching languages (English/Spanish). I would love to share experiences not only about traveling but about life itself. I love to learn new things so if you are willing to teach me something, I'm all ears.

"Sharing is caring" that's what is all about ;)
